September's full of festivities

September is always a busy month. The weather starts to warm, work picks up and of course, it's Father's Day and everyone's birthday (it seems).

In the combined family we have 8 birthdays and 3 father's days to enjoy! The only problem with really enjoying the month is that the waistline and the wallet get a beating.

At the same time, this year, my staff member went on annual leave for 4 weeks in the busiest time! We had a killer first quarter of 2007 sales year and beat the all-time record for sales.

It's also the month with my birthday and we had a beautiful day planned which was to include a Hot Air Balloon flight over Melbourne CBD, the day off to explore our city and a night to remember with the Head Chef from Ezard's restaurant, Dylan Roberts, prepare a 5-course meal in our apartment for 12.
Unfortunately the Hot Air Balloon couldn't go ahead as the winds were too dangerous, so we reschuled for early November as Mark had a very busy October with work.

The meal was absolutely amazing and the company had a lovely time. Even though it was a 'school' night and everyone had to go to work the next day, we all had a bit more wine than we planned (all chosen by our part-time sommelier, Markus) to compliment the stunning food.

It's a night we certainly won't forget.
